Seeba is the Syrian word for stepladder. For us, this symbolizes our mission, vision, and values. In creating Seeba we wanted to create a business that would offer equal opportunity to newcomers, women, and minorities in an effort to even the playing field and grant them the chance to rise to the occasion through equal opportunities and pay.
Seeba is a social enterprise that delivers high-quality painting services to home and workspaces through experience management, supervision and trained staff, with affordable and competitive prices.
First, we aim to create a balance between men and women in an industry that has been historically dominated by men. Second, we provide skills training to populations in need of meaningful employment. Third, using a thoughtful predetermined criterion, we implement a unique “Pay it Forward” residential enhancement program, which provides free or at cost painting services to improve the quality of life of marginalized communities.
By hiring newcomers and vulnerable individuals, providing them with skills training, offering affordable prices, and implementing our “Pay it Forward” program, we put the community at the centre everything we do. Our focus is on fostering a positive and nurturing environment that will encourage minorities to adopt new skills and gain meaningful employment, all while giving back to the community.
